SHARJAH / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to commence nonstop flights connecting Sharjah International Airport with Amman City Airport starting November 15, 2026. Operating four times weekly, this new route enhances the airline’s route network linking the United Arab Emirates and Jordan. Currently, Air Arabia operates flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport, serving the Jordanian capital. The addition of this route provides passengers with a second option for flying into Amman on the airline’s Sharjah network and broadens its scheduled services to Jordan.

Flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Flight G9 169 departs Sharjah at 8:00 a.m. and arrives in Amman at 10:30 a.m. local time. The return flight, G9 170, departs Amman at 11:20 a.m. and reaches Sharjah at 3:15 p.m. local time. Tickets for the new route are now available via the airline’s website, call center, and travel agencies.
This new service further strengthens Air Arabia Group’s existing Jordan operations. The group currently links Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi with both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Additionally, flights from Alexandria International Airport to Amman City Airport are also operated by the group. The new Sharjah route will add another departure point from the UAE to Amman City Airport, complementing the group’s current Jordan services.
Air Arabia broadens access to two Amman airports
According to Air Arabia Group CEO Adel Al Ali, the new route provides travelers with access to a second airport in the Jordanian capital. He emphasized that this will enhance convenience and flexibility for travelers moving between the UAE and Jordan. The airline announced the new Sharjah route on October 8, more than a month ahead of its scheduled start in November. It will operate alongside existing Sharjah flights to Queen Alia International Airport.
Earlier this year, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi launched its own service to Amman City Airport, starting on May 1 with three weekly nonstop flights from Zayed International Airport. This operation also connects to Queen Alia International Airport, offering two options for travelers from the UAE capital to reach Amman. In April, Air Arabia stated that these two Abu Dhabi routes together provided a total of 10 weekly flights to Amman at the time of the second airport’s launch.
Sharjah route will provide four additional weekly flights to Jordan
Utilizing flight numbers G9 169 and G9 170, the new Sharjah route operates on a fixed four-day weekly schedule. The airline’s fleet includes Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft across its broader network. Passengers can also take advantage of services like SkyTime streaming, SkyCafe onboard menu, and Air Rewards loyalty program. Bookings for the Amman City Airport flights are now open through the airline’s official sales channels ahead of the November 15 launch.
This expansion enhances Air Arabia Group’s Jordan network through multiple departure points, including Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and Alexandria. From Sharjah, passengers now have direct Air Arabia flights to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Air Arabia Abu Dhabi also services both airports, while Alexandria maintains a direct connection to Amman City Airport. The upcoming November launch will add four scheduled weekly flights between Sharjah and Jordan’s capital, further expanding the group’s regional route network.
