SHARJAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to begin nonstop flights connecting Sharjah and Gdansk on Dec. 14, 2026. This new route will link Sharjah International Airport with Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport, operating five times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. This addition provides another direct connection between the UAE and northern Poland, broadening Air Arabia’s flight network within the country. On Mondays and Saturdays, flight G9 0628 departs Sharjah at 4 p.m. and arrives in Gdansk at 8 p.m. The return flight, G9 0629, departs Gdansk at 8:50 p.m., reaching Sharjah at 6:10 a.m. the following day. Flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays are scheduled to leave Sharjah at 8:15 a.m., with return flights departing Gdansk at 1:05 p.m. and arriving in Sharjah at 10:25 p.m. All times listed are local.
Once operational, Gdansk will be Air Arabia’s fourth Polish destination from Sharjah, joining Krakow and Warsaw Chopin Airport. Additionally, the airline will launch four weekly flights to Katowice starting Dec. 17, 2026, operating on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. These routes will extend Air Arabia’s direct network within Poland beyond its current two cities.
Gdansk becomes part of Air Arabia’s expanding Polish route network
The Gdansk route is part of Air Arabia’s broader European network from Sharjah, which includes destinations such as Milan Bergamo, Munich, Vienna, Athens, Prague, Krakow, Warsaw Chopin, London Gatwick, and Rome. The airline has also announced plans to add Frankfurt and Katowice to this network. Gdansk introduces a new destination on Poland’s Baltic coast, offering travelers in the Pomeranian region a direct scheduled connection with the UAE via Sharjah.
Adel Al Ali, CEO of Air Arabia Group, stated that the airline was expanding its Polish network with Gdansk. Tomasz Kloskowski, President of Gdansk Airport, emphasized the importance of the direct Sharjah link for the Pomeranian region. The airport considers Sharjah a transfer hub for destinations in India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and East Africa. Gdansk Airport serves the broader Tri-City area, which includes Gdansk, Gdynia, and Sopot, along with other northern Polish communities.
Five weekly services connect Sharjah and Gdansk
Air Arabia utilizes Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft for its route network. The airline has opened bookings for the Gdansk flight through its website, call center, and travel agents. The schedule designates G9 0628 and G9 0629 for the Monday and Saturday flights, while flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays will be operated as G9 0626 from Sharjah and G9 0627 from Gdansk. This schedule ensures nonstop flights in both directions five times a week.
The launch of the Gdansk route on Dec. 14 will precede Air Arabia’s planned Katowice service by three days. With Krakow and Warsaw already connected to Sharjah, these new routes will bring Air Arabia’s Polish network to four cities. The Gdansk service will offer travelers five weekly nonstop options in each direction, according to the published timetable.
